Beef and cattle courses introduce students to the beef agri-supply chain. Students gain hands-on experience in cattle production at each College’s purpose built facilities as well as working properties 'Berrigurra' and 'Rosebank'.

A significant QATC offering in the beef and cattle study area is the Northern Beef Industries Program, developed in partnership with some of Australia's largest and most respected pastoral companies:

  • S. Kidman & Co
  • Georgina Pastoral Company
  • Australian Agricultural Corporation
  • Australian Country Choice
  • Northern Australian Pastoral Company
  • Consolidated Pastoral Company
  • Heytesbury Cattle Company
  • MDH, and
  • Stanbroke.

Successful Northern Beef Industries Program students are guaranteed a job interview with at least one of the partner pastoral companies at the end of the one year program. Students form valuable industry connections and build a solid foundation for a successful rural career.

For non-residential students, workshops are conducted at our training hubs or utilising facilities of other industry enterprises.
