Agribusiness skill set a flexible study option

A joint initiative between the Queensland Agriculture Workforce Network (QAWN) and Rural Training Queensland, a division of Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges (QATC), means farm owners and agribusiness managers can undertake flexible, accredited training to enhance their management skills.

The AHCSS00025 Farm Business Management Skill Set is a self-paced, online short course, and study can be tailored to suit individual schedules. Students also have access to training support from the experienced Rural Training Queensland team.

"We are working with QAWN to run a series of workshops throughout Queensland to complement the online delivery of this skill set. Through the workshops we will assist students to develop a business plan tailored for their enterprise," said QATC Executive Director of Education and Training, Kayci Delaney.

For all skill set units successfully completed, participants are able to apply for study credit with QATC in an AHC51410 Diploma of Agribusiness Management or AHC50110 Diploma of Agriculture.

Diploma level training has a strong focus on management practices, and improves skills and knowledge in areas such as business performance, budgeting and financial reports, farm planning, production monitoring, livestock management, and marketing.

Take advantage of this flexible study option, boost your agribusiness skills, and work towards a diploma level qualification.
