School-based Learning​​ 

School-based Traineeships

Across the State, we offer school-based traineeship qualifications in various sectors including: agriculture (beef, cropping, horses), horticulture, and conservation and land management. Training is funded by the Queensland Government under the User Choice program, subject to student eligibility.

If you are over 15 and want to prepare for a rural career then talk to your school guidance officer about a school-based traineeship through Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges.

Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS)

Qualified instructors partner with State and Independent Schools to offer a range of vocational program in rural operations, agriculture, horticulture, and conservation and land management, ensuring that competency, assessment and processes are ASQA compliant.

Training is funded by the Queensland Government under the Certificate 3 Guarantee (Vocational Education and Training in Schools), subject to student eligibility.
