Traineeships and Apprenticeships
Cement your knowledge with paid, on-the-job-practical training.
Undertaking a traineeship or apprenticeship qualification through Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges (QATC) allows you to complement your theoretical training with paid, on-the-job training.
At QATC, we offer a diverse range of full-time, part-time or school-based traineeships and apprenticeship qualifications where students complete a combination of online theory at work, plus on or off-site training with instructors as required.
Our courses are designed for both new entrants to the industry and experienced workers looking to upskill and gain a formal qualification.
Qualifications available for trainees include:
- Production Horticulture
- Rural Operations
- Conservation and Land Management
- Retail Butchery
Where eligible, training may be funded by the Queensland Government under the User Choice program.

If you are an employer or employee interested in undertaking a work-based traineeship or apprenticeship, contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
